About Me

Welcome! This site is continually in process, as I work to add more of my life's 50+ years of gleanings. It is a work of culminations - years of joys, sorrows, life experiences and lessons. Here you will find a wide range of topics, such as relaxed gardening, holistic health tips for various age groups, seasons of life, recipes, books, music, nature, my relationship with Jesus, and anything else I find of interest and value. I have read and written many things in my life, so I invite you to read my weekly blog and revisit the website regularly to see what's been added.

I will be working as a wellness coordinator beginning in Dec. 2019. I got my RN when I was 48. I worked one year as part-time home health RN and  one year as a part-time postpartum maternity RN. Prior to that I had the great privilege of raising and homeschooling our 3 girls and 3 boys alongside of my husband of 32 years, Darren. (Prior to having children I worked as a preschool teacher. Darren and I also volunteered with Young Life, facilitated newborn and toddler parenting classes, and participated in family missions trips with World Vision.) We are also blessed with several wonderful aging family members. We own nearly two acres of land within our city limits, giving us the best of both country and city life - and a whole lot of yard care! Thankfully a portion of it is woods and we get to see a lot of wildlife, which we, and our dog and two cats, definitely enjoy. :)

I believe every person has value to share with the world. I believe developing character, growing our unique talents, and loving others are life's greatest challenges and satisfactions. (For more on that check out my blog titled Collections.) I believe we are wired for these purposes by a loving, purposeful Creator. My hope is that, somewhere in the midst of my life's gleanings, you will find seeds of value that will add to your unique growth and holistic health.
