Topical Recommended Reading and More... Gleanings from a lifetime love of reading and learning.

These are books and other media sources that have had staying power in my life. Many of them are older (even back when I first read them, haha) and are sometimes fairly cheap on Amazon. My goal for myself has been not to reinvent the wheel, but merely to study what others have done in order to apply and modify it for my purposes. (In other words, just because I recommend it doesn't mean I agree with every word!) The point is to discover new ideas and even new perspectives for consideration.
Note: I also discuss my favorite books and holistic health in more detail on:

Exercise:
-You probably know this, but: Always check with your healthcare provider before beginning an exercise program. And listen to your body! Keep your exertion level in a low to mid-range unless you are very fit. I love to walk and wog (intervals of walking & jogging) but I also enjoy Youtube videos. There are even ones out there for bad knees, etc. Seek out what works for you! I like Jessica Smith
(she has all levels and types of workouts - be sure to pick appropriately!) and Leslie Sansone, but I try others to mix it up too! Variety is good for the mind and the body! Finally, be kind, encouraging, and consistent with yourself - progress, not perfection!!
Health:
There is a lot of available information on how to live a healthy life. I don't have one favorite author/speaker but encourage people to eat with common sense. Eat what is grown on this earth, not man made preservatives, etc. Listen to your body and look for causes when ill - overworking, stress, poor sleep, poor diet or food sensitivities, etc. Find a trusted healthcare provider. That being said, I believe prayer is always the place to begin. One book I recommend along these lines is The Practice of Christian Healing: A Guide for Beginners, by Roy Lawrence - and its companion, Christian Healing Rediscovered.
